The 5% are those who need special attention, and are considered Special Needs Horses! Please consider adopting one today... IERAL needs continued support from corporate and individual sponsors like yourself. You may be able to donate feed, hay, or other much needed resources. We have commitments from various industries to help educate and offer their expertise when needed. Some of those corporations are, Farnam Companies, Inc. which has graciously donated supplement products. Nutrena to help with nutritional information and resources. We have a commitment with Kirkwood/Equine department to help during natural disasters and emergency evacuations in Iowa. Also, they have committed in hosting educational courses for IERAL in the very near future. Iowa State University Animal Science department is helping build awareness and educate people on good horse husbandry, just to name a few. We have written several grant proposals to various organization locally and nationally. IERAL recognizes that most counties have limited funds for equine rescue and our goal is to help supplement the funds required for each rescue.

You can become a Sponsor for as little as $25 a month. However, sponsorship gifts of $50, $100, $250, $500 or more are also needed and would be appreciated by our horses that are in special need of care. Here is a list of items and their costs to give you an idea of what it costs financially to care for our horses each month: · Grain ration for one horse per month: $44.00 · Hay ration for one horse per month: $65.00 · Hoof trim for one horse: $35.00 · One vet call for one horse: $50.00 plus treatment · One dental check: $65.00+ · Yearly shots for one horse: $150.00 · One vet exam for a newly arrived horse: $200.00 · Medicine to help reduce pain of swelling $35.00 for one horse. * Complete care for one rescued horse a month for the first 90 days (average time for rehabilitation) $450.00 * Complete care for one rescued horse a month following rehabilitation: $200.00	PLEASE SPONSOR A board or 3 boards!!!
